Information for solicitors

This section of our website is specifically aimed at solicitors and conveyancers who are working on behalf of our customers.

Please see the information below relating to the most common requests from solicitors – including details of Lender Exchange, which we use to support redemption statement and title deed requests.

We will only respond to requests from solicitors who are registered with the Law Society and conveyancers who are registered with the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC).

Lender Exchange is the secure online portal for legal firms

The benefits to solicitors include:

  • Quickly request and obtain a redemption statement via the portal, which can then be printed directly.
  • Make a request for Title Deeds at the same time.
  • See status updates on the progress of redemption statement requests.
  • Submit requests to multiple lenders via the same portal.
  • Help avoid costs from the time spent having to write or call.

Many solicitors and conveyancers are already subscribed – find out more at the Lender Exchange website.

Common solicitor requests & queries

Redemption statements are produced on request.

If the redemption statement includes a daily interest amount, you can use that figure to adjust the total amount required if the redemption payment will be received slightly before or after the stated redemption date. However, if the payment is to be made after the end of the month in which the statement was issued, a new redemption statement will be required.

All requests for redemption statements should be made through the Lender Exchange secure online portal.

In many cases, Lender Exchange is the quickest way to obtain a redemption statement and can help avoid costs from the time spent having to write or call.

Because the process is automated, most requests will be processed quickly, and statements are usually available to access via the portal within 24-48 hours. You can also request the Title Deeds at the same time.

When you use Lender Exchange to obtain the redemption statement, you must ensure that your request is made to Heliodor Mortgages.

Some important points in relation to customers holding Together mortgages:

  • If you’re requesting a redemption statement for the secured part of the mortgage only, where the unsecured loan part is not being repaid as part of the redemption, then this statement request cannot be processed via Lender Exchange. Instead, you’ll need to request this in writing from us using the address below.
  • If you’re requesting a redemption statement for a standalone unsecured loan only (where the secured part of the mortgage with us has already been redeemed or is no longer outstanding) then this statement request can be made via Lender Exchange.

If you’re unable to use Lender Exchange, you can request a redemption statement from us in writing to:

To help avoid delays, please include the following within the letter:

  • 9-digit account number
  • Title number
  • Name and address of account holder(s)

Alternatively you can contact us.

Requests for Title Deeds can be made through Lender Exchange, at the same time as requesting a redemption statement.

If you require the Title Deeds separately, or are unable to use Lender Exchange, you can request them from us in writing to:

Heliodor Mortgages
PO Box 124
Skipton
BD23 9FR

To help avoid delays, please include the following within the letter:

Please send a Bank Transfer for the required amount, using our correct bank details – including the relevant mortgage or loan account number as the reference.

To obtain the bank details and the correct amount required, please refer to the latest redemption statement, or check the copy held within the Lender Exchange portal.

We aim to apply the payment and confirm the mortgage is redeemed within 15 days after receipt of the funds.

We’ll send written confirmation to whoever makes the final redemption payment to us.

If the amount received on redemption isn’t enough to redeem the loan in full, we will apply the funds we have received as a Capital Repayment.

We’ll send written confirmation of the remaining balance still required to whoever makes the payment, usually ten working days after receiving the funds.

All Release of Land or Land Registry queries should be made in writing to us:
